Pictures from Haller Park

This was the last week our team was able to spend together before each of us goes different directions...some traveling across Kenya, one going home for Christmas, and one who's term is ending. We took a day and went to Haller Park, a nature preserve here in Mombasa. Some of you may have heard of it because of the famous "Owen and Mzee". (bottom left picture) This is where the Tortoise and baby Hippo who became friends after the Tsunamii, now stay. Since then they haven't left each other's side. You can find this story online if you google it. Its pretty neat. Our team had a wonderful day of fun and relaxation. We even had a little taste of crocodile and ostrich meat..yummy! And then as you can see, Dennis and I took lessons on caring for each other like the monkeys do...so funny!!
